Women in Pakistan make up 48.76% of the population according to the 2017 census of Pakistan. Women in Pakistan have played an important role throughout Pakistan's history and they are allowed to vote in elections since 1956. In Pakistan, women have held high offices including that of the Prime Minister, Speaker of the National Assembly, Leader of the Opposition, as well as federal ministers, judges,and serving commissioned posts in the armed forces. Lieutenant General Nigar Johar, attaining the highest military post for a woman. Pakistan's population in 202349.6 percent of Pakistan's population is female, while 50.4 percent of the population is male.To our pride, the list of such great Pakistani women is long enough, following are listed below

    1.  Benazir bhutto 

  Benazir bhutto  was a Pakistani women who Was the politician who became the first Pakistani  women leader of a muslim nation  in  modern history.  She served two terms as prime minister of Pakistan, in 1988 _1990 and in 1933_1996For women leaders.

        2 . Fatima jinnah
           
       Fatima jinnah was a Pakistani politician and stateswomen. She was the younger sister  Of Muhammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of  Pakistan . She was the leader of the opposition  Of Pakistan from1960 until her death 1967.

After obtaining a dental degree from the University of Calcutta in 1923, then she became the first female dentist of undivided India; she also became a close associate and an adviser to her older brother, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who later became the first Governor General of Pakistan. After the independence of Pakistan, Jinnah co-founded the Pakistan Women's Association which played an integral role in the settlement of the women migrants in the newly formed country. She remained the closest confidant of her brother until his death.


       3. Maryam Mukhtiar 


Marium  Mukhtiar was a Pakistani fighter pilot. She died flying a Pakistan Air Force FT-7PG aircraft that crashed near Kundian in Mianwali District, northwestern Punjab, Pakistan on November 24, 2015. She was the first female Pakistani fighter pilot to be martyr in the line of duty.

4.Arfa karim

: Arfa Abdul Karim Randhawa  was a Pakistani student and computer prodigy who became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2004. She was submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records for her achievement. Arfa kept the title until 2008 and went on to represent Pakistan on various international forums, including the TechEd Developers Conference. She received Pakistan's highest literary award, the Presidential Pride of Performance from General Pervez Musharraf in 2005. A science park in Lahore, the Arfa Software Technology Park, is named in her honour. At the age of 10, Arfa was invited by Bill Gates to visit Microsoft's headquarters in the United States. She died in 2012, aged 16, from a cardiac arrest.

 5 Begum.Ra'ana  Liaquat Ali khan

 
: Begum Ra'ana Liaqat Ali Khan  known as Gul-i-Rana; (13 February 1905 – 13 June 1990)was the First Lady of Pakistan from 1947 to 1951 as the wife of Liaquat Ali Khan who served as the 1st Prime Minister of Pakistan. She was also the first female and tenth governor of Sindh. She was one of the leading woman figures in the Pakistan Movement, and a career economist, and prominent stateswoman from the start of the cold war till theall and the end of the cold war.  She is a 42-time Pakistan national champion, having won the 100m and 200m dashes from 1989 to 1998, and from 1992 to 1998 the 400 metres, long jump, high jump, 4 × 100 m Relay and 4x400 Relay.

6. Fatima Shah

    Fatima Shah (1914 – October 12, 2002)was a Pakistani physician, social worker and advocate for the blind in Pakistan. She was the founder of the Pakistan Association of the Blind (PAB) and one of the founding members of the All Pakistan Women's Association. She was also the first woman to become president of the International Federation of the blind.


7.Shahida Malik

    Shahida Malik was a senior officer of the Pakistan Army who was the former Surgeon-General of the Pakistan Army Medical Corps.
She is the first lady officer in the Pakistan Army to have reached to two-star rank. Trained as a doctor, she was appointed the Inspector-General Hospitals as well as deputy commander of the Pakistan Army Medical Corps before retiring in 2004.

8.Tasneem zahra hussain

    Tasneem Zehra Husain is a Pakistani theoretical physicist. She is one of few Pakistani women to obtain a doctorate in physics, and the first Pakistani woman string theorist.[1] An eminent scientist, she has been a guest speaker at a various schools and colleges in an effort to promote science and technology in Pakistan.Husain has represented Pakistan at the Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany and led the Pakistan team to the World Year of Physics (WYP) Launch Conference in Paris. In 2013, Husain was invited by the Cambridge Science Festival to be the moderator for a panel of eminent scientists, including National Academy of Sciences member and Harvard Medical School Professor, George M. Church, Pulitzer prize winner, Amy D. Marcus and MIT Professor and National Medal of Science winner,Sallie Chisholm..

9. Namira saleem

   Namira Salim born in Karachi, is a Pakistani polar adventurer, astronaut and artist based in Monaco and Dubai. On the recommendation of the Pakistani government, she was in 2011 appointed as an honorary consul of Pakistan to Monaco, following her efforts to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries. She is the first Pakistani to have reached both the North Pole and the South Pole. Salim is the only Pakistani among the first 100 aspiring space tourists to purchase a ticket for Virgin Galactic's future commercial space liner.
